It’s the Oscars of the foodie world, but instead of Emma Stone cat walking it up the red carpet, a legion of chefs took to Dublin&#8217;s Convention Centre to see if they cut the Michelin star mustard.&nbsp;



Scotland&#8217;s showing in these awards gets stronger and stronger every year. And it&#8217;s the Highlands that are singing with two new stars for <a href="https://www.thetorridon.com/eat-drink/1887-restaurant/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">1887 at The Torridon</a> and <a href="https://killiecrankiehouse.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Killiecrankie House</a> in Perthshire. 



Three Scottish restaurants were awarded Green Stars for sustainability, joining <a href="https://inverrestaurant.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Inver</a> in Cairndow – <a href="https://www.the-free-company.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Free Company</a> in Balerno was one, and 1887 at The Torridon did the double as did <a href="http://timberyard.co/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Timberyard</a> in Edinburgh. The Michelin Exceptional Cocktail Award went to Alasdair Shaw from <a href="https://sebbs.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sebb’s</a> in Glasgow, where we agree that the cocktails are very much on point. 



No stars were lost, demonstrating the staying power of the Scottish fine dining scene. Let’s go star-gazing.
