<p>Settle down for a story read by Santa in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre. Hot chocolate and blankets will keep things cosy and warm for his festive tales. Performances last around 20 minutes and there are relaxed, audio described and BSL interpreted sessions available too.</p>

<p>Santa will be bringing a bit of the North Pole to the first floor of Glasgow’s St Enoch Centre in the run up to Christmas. Kids can write their wishlist surrounded by twinkly lights and festive decorations, get their face painted, grab a selfie with an elf and then head in to get a pic with the big man himself.</p>

<p>Take the North Pole Express train to visit to see Santa in his traditional, cosy grotto and then catch up with Mrs Claus for stories and crafts. You can meet the shadow side of Christmas too – the Grinch also has a lair at this grotto in Ayr! With unlimited indoor play, open access to the new animal barn and free sweet treats for the grown ups, there’s lots to explore.</p>

<p>Elf crafts and secret missions put the mega in Santa’s Mega Grotto. It’s an all day affair if you want with admission to Wynford Farm Park, elf crafts, an elf academy and an elf passport you can collect at elf border control to collect stamps in. Better yet, Mrs Claus will also be there!</p>

<p>It&#8217;s spendy, but what a ride! A festive steam train journey through Speyside. The whole train is decked out for the festivities, kids get activity books and elves roam through the carriages bringing songs and giggles. Of course the main event is a wee stop from Santa at your table, handing out gifts and posing for pics.</p>

<p>Santa will also be making several appearances at Edinburgh Zoo in December. Follow the Giant Lantern’s Trail to find his special grotto. But he’s not always there so Muddy recommends getting your Grotto slot before buying the lantern trail tickets as these slots will fill fast!</p>

<p>The Mining Museum might not seem an obvious spot to find Santa, but legend has it, he does love leaving lumps of coal… With timed slots so there’s no rush, kids get a chance to chat with Santa, receive a special gift and take a festive photo. There’s also a North Pole postbox for wishlists and Christmas crafts to make and take home.</p>

<p>The magic continues in Crieff where Santa transforms the Hydro into his magical land. Be greeted by his mischievous elves, sneak a peek at his legendary naughty and nice lists and head home with a gift in hand.</p>
